My name is Janelle and if you want to go back to the very beginning of my story, I was born and raised in western South Dakota on a beautiful ranch/farm. I have many wonderful childhood memories of growing up there with my fun little sister & my loving parents. I moved to Minnesota to attend Northwestern Bible College and eventually met my best friend and dear husband to be......it is our 17th anniversary today!!
We have 2 daughters, ages 7 and 10, who are so sweet, funny, wonderful, and crazy all rolled up into one.....I have been so fortunate to have been a stay at home mom to them for all 10 years of my 'mothering career', including one fabulous year of homeschooling!
Our life is far from perfect, but we love the way God brought us together and we are so thankful to have so many blessings from Him!
I started digital scrapbooking in January 2007 and have been completely hooked since then! It totally fills my need for creativity and doesn't involve glue or glitter except the digital kind!! My journey into designing began in August when I posted a page where I had made a 'digital tag book' within the full scrapbook page.
So many people sent me pm's asking me how to get the same look that I made my page into a template and gave it away to anyone who was interested. A few weeks later, Terri at Digital Artist Magazine asked me if I would be interested in designing a different digital tag book as an exclusive free download for each month's issue. I said yes and as I started writing down every idea I had for tag books, I could tell I would not be able to do just 1 book a month, so I decided to start selling at After Five Designs and I am so happy there! So many of the designers and creative team members there are wonderful people that I have worked with on other creative teams in the past and the environment is so relaxed and friendly.
